via.deals ("the Service", "we") is a URL shortener operated under the deals.group name. This policy explains what we process and why.

What we collect

• Links you create — the destination URL, the short domain and code, and the time of creation.
• Click events — when a short link is opened we record a timestamp, approximate country and city (from Cloudflare), the referring page, a coarse device type, and a salted one-way hash of the IP address. We do not store raw IP addresses.
• Aggregate counts — a per-link total click counter.

How we use it

• To operate the redirect service and show per-link click statistics.
• To check destination links for malware and phishing before shortening, and to keep the Service secure and abuse-free.

Third parties

• We use infrastructure and security providers to serve the Service at the edge, store link and click data, provide approximate geolocation, and screen destinations for malware, phishing, and adult content.

Retention & your rights

Free links and their click data are kept while the link is live (1 month) plus a short grace window, then permanently deleted. We do not sell or rent your data. You may request deletion of a link or related data by contacting support@via.deals. Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) grants you rights of access, correction, or erasure, you may exercise them via that address.

By creating a link or using via.deals in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Acceptable use

• You are solely responsible for the links you create and the content they point to.
• You may not use the Service to shorten or distribute links to malware, phishing, fraud, spam, adult/explicit content, illegal content, or anything that violates the rights of others or any applicable law.
• You may not abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to bypass the security or safety controls of the Service.

Plans & features

• The Service is currently free and account-less. Links are created with a randomly generated short code.
• Free links are valid for 1 month. Links created on the free tier expire and stop working one month after creation. Longer-lived links are planned for a future paid plan.
• Custom aliases / branded short codes are not available on the free tier. Any custom alias submitted to the API is ignored and a random code is used instead. Custom aliases and branded domains are planned for a future paid plan.
• We may introduce paid plans, usage limits, or new features at any time. Nothing here is a commitment to provide any particular feature, and free features may change or be removed.

Our rights

• We may disable, remove, or refuse any link at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion — including links flagged as unsafe.
• The Service is provided without accounts; we may add, change, limit, or discontinue any feature at any time.
• We may change these Terms and any of our rules, policies, pricing, or features at any time, without prior notice. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, deals.group and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from your use of the Service or from any link or destination accessed through it.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, uptime, or non-infringement.

• We make no guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any link will continue to work.
• We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content of destination websites. Safety checks are best-effort and may miss harmful content — you follow any link at your own risk.
• Statistics and safety verdicts are provided for convenience only and are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete.

You use the Service entirely at your own risk.

via.deals does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not build cross-site profiles of visitors. Any storage used is strictly functional (for example, completing the on-page slider check).

For visitors in the EU/UK, our lawful basis for processing the limited click data described in the Privacy Policy is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, abuse-resistant link service. Because we store only a salted hash of IPs and minimal metadata, we minimize personal data by design. To exercise data-protection rights, contact support@via.deals.

If a via.deals short link points to malware, phishing, infringing, or otherwise unlawful content, please report it to support@via.deals.

Include the full short link and a brief description of the problem. For copyright (DMCA) notices, include the work concerned and a statement of your good-faith belief. We review reports and may disable offending links at our discretion, typically promptly.

We reserve the right to change, update, or replace any of these policies, terms, rules, features, or pricing at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. The version shown here is current as of the effective date above. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically; your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the then-current rules.
